Homepage direction previews
Four alternative looks for the homepage, each built to feel deliberately human-made rather than generically generated, while keeping Browzr’s vision and the “build your own” story intact. They run on live data. The current site is untouched.
Curated publication
Editorial
The web treated as a hand-edited magazine: serif headlines, ink on warm paper, a curated index. Signals human taste, the opposite of "generated".
- · Fraunces serif display
- · Asymmetric editorial grid
- · Recommended lead
Directory revival
Retro-web
A nod to the early human web: a left-rail category directory, monospace chrome, boxy panels. You navigate; you are not fed. Most on-mission, boldest.
- · Space Mono chrome
- · Left-rail directory
- · Highest differentiation
Clean & restrained
Refined minimal
Modern and clean with the tells stripped out: one confident typeface, flat surfaces, a single accent, real grid. The safest, most "professional" route.
- · Schibsted Grotesk
- · Flat hairline cards
- · Safest
Product-first / provenance
The Index, kept by hand
No marketing hero. The page opens inside the index with a live hand-picked site, shows its own maintenance (weekly ledger, margin notes), and keeps the pitch to one signed letter. Human by evidence, not costume.
- · Live pick as the hero
- · Add/remove ledger + marginalia
- · Founder letter, colophon footer
